Job Description:

  1. Should be passionate about making and presenting desserts and have a desire to learn new recipes.
  2. Thorough knowledge about art and science of baking.
  3. Being creative with new recipe ideas.
  4. Good knowledge about using baking equipment’s and procedures.
  5. Prepare desserts and baked goods in waffle category.
  6. Keep up-to-date with new recipes, ensure the quality of baked goods, assist in the development of menus, and prepare baked goods using a wide range of styles.
  7. Maintain inventory of food items, rotate stock, manage the safe storage of refrigerated and non-refrigerated items, and order ingredients as needed.
  8. Good communication skills
  9. Maintain necessary records in the kitchen as per instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Working on a new menu/category/product/variant launch from product conception to market readiness for both the Restaurant Chain business and Packaged Food business
  • Managing a team of chefs and Food Technologists to create prototypes and test them internally
  • Identify key vendors for sourcing + manufacturing, negotiate the commercials & work with them on the final product
  • Set product development timeline & meet the delivery time
  • Decide on product specifications including recipes, packaging, nutrition, shelf life etc.
  • Manage the entire PNL responsibility for the new product vertical, including product costing and margin analysis
  • Work closely with market research team to study, identify and target potential white spaces, international trends, new product ideas and developments in the FMCG dessert market.
  • Work closely with other departments such as marketing, operations and production teams to ensure rollouts, product quality and production SOPs are being met
  • Problem solving – that may arise with respect to product quality

Experience, Education and Other Details

  • Experience Required – 8-10 years in Retail, food manufacturing, FMCG etc. industries with good knowledge of food technology and processing, ingredients etc.
  • Education – MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Marketing/Food technology
  • Reporting to CEO and Founder for Belgian Waffles
  • Heading a business category or business vertical
  • Experience as a co-founder or entrepreneur of a food business will be preferred
  • International Experience or Education preferred
  • Experience of modern sweet/dessert products will be preferred
  • Must be from a reputable or high ranked institution and above 75% grades in 10th and 12th and college
  • Be good with MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of individual business plans for different countries.
  • Identify business development opportunities, support sales and delivery teams to expand business outside India and drive such opportunities from concept to implementation and execution of such plans and tracking outcomes.
  • Administer and develop initiatives to increase sales and market development activities.
  • Analyze business strategies and develop improvement plans for same to provide appropriate growth to business.
  • Manage all development process and ensure compliance to government policies and regulations of the different countries.
  • Identify opportunities for promotions, additional services, and distribution avenues that will lead to an increase in international sales and work with the Sales team.
  • Monitor effective implementation of international business development activities.
  • Assist businesses to identify opportunities and develop strategic plans to enhance same.
  • Design plans to achieve all objectives and develop plans for new business.
  • Train and provide guidance to team members and business development issues.
  • Coordinate with management team and maintain budgets
  • Analyze business and review future prospective for same.
  • Manage all customer communication and maintain effective relationship with all.

Requirements:

  • Experience of around 7 to 10 years is mandatory in implementation of F&B Business. Outside India experience will be preferable.
  • Should have experience in handling all the related compliances and duties.
  • IT fluency with skills including GSuite, Microsoft office suite, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal, confident and effective public speaking abilities.
  • Pro-active, strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Flexible and willing to take on any tasks to support team efforts.
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations.

Responsible for the overall Business operations of the allocated outlet cluster according to operational standards. A majority of time is spent leading/Guiding and coaching the team to meet Customer expectations, achieving both bottom- and top-line objectives and run profitable business.

  • Ensuring all expense bills are received and properly booked in Tally along with narrations- Following up for bills of those whose invoices are not received
  • Checking rate for all purchases against agreements
  • New vendor registration in system
  • GST Accounting and review of all bills for proper credit under GST

  • Timely payment of salary
  • Vendor payments to be done as per due date and payment entries are booked timely
